Clarithromycin 500mg Tablets

Clarithromycin is an antibiotic which belongs to a group of medicines called macrolide antibiotics. Antibiotics stop the growth of bacteria which cause infections.

Clarithromycin is used to treat:

Chest infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia

Throat and sinus infections

Mild to moderate skin and soft tissue infections

Duodenal ulcers caused by the bacteria Helicobacter Pylori.

Each 500mg film-coated tablet contains 500mg Clarithromycin.

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date, which is stated on the blister/carton after “EXP”:

The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.

Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.

The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, powdered cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica.

Film coating: hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 4000.

Clarithromycin 250 tablets are available in packs of 7, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 30, 42 50, 60 and 100 tablets.

Not all pack sizes or pack types may be marketed.
